Discovery Centre Parking

The Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre offers ample parking facilities to accommodate various visitor needs. For guests participating in the Columbia Icefield Adventure or visiting the Glacier Skywalk, parking is available in the lower Jasper-side lot. From this lot, visitors can access the main floor of the Discovery Centre via a large staircase or an alternative pathway to the left of the stairs. Please note that all Skywalk visitors must take the included shuttle from the Centre to the Skywalk, as there is no parking available directly at the Skywalk location.

Guests staying at the Glacier View Lodge or participating in the Ice Odyssey tour should park in the upper Banff-side lot. An access code for this lot is provided in the confirmation email upon booking. Accessible parking is also available in this upper lot for those with mobility considerations.

It's recommended to arrive at the Discovery Centre at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled Adventure departure time to allow for parking and check-in procedures. Be aware that cellphone service is limited in the area, so plan accordingly.
